How it Began The BBSC Production Team The Music Order CD

Why is Spencer's Fund so important?

In these difficult economic times, an extended or far-from-home hospital stay can cause great hardship for families and individuals affected by CHD. Quite often, the additional expenses incurred for travel, lodging, and meals can have a huge impact on people's ability to keep pace with their normal household bills.

For the past several years, Spencer's Fund has been able to provide crucial financial assistance to scores of families and adult CHD patients throughout the United States. However, due to the economy, donations have declined, while the need for our services has increased dramatically.

Your purchase of this wonderful CD will help us to continue to provide people affected by CHD with the emotional support and financial assistance they so desperately need.

How it Began

It all started this past spring when Gil Wernovsky, MD posted a couple of videos of Baby Blue Sound Collective on the web.  I sent links to the videos to my son, Seth, who is a freelance producer/recording engineer, and an adult living well with CHD. He enjoyed the performances as much as I did, and called to say, "Hey, wouldn't it be fun to get these folks into a studio and record?"

After exchanging a couple of emails with Dr. Boris and Dr. Wernovsky, the BBSC  decided that they would love to record, and use the proceeds from the sale of the CDs to help people affected by CHD via Spencer's Fund.

Thus began our great adventure in music production! It was a wonderful and heart warming experience for all, and I think you will agree that the CD is every bit as fabulous as the incredibly talented people who participated!
