Spencer

ASD, VSD, DORV, CoA, TGV; Open Heart Surgery

Hello. My little boy Spencer was born on July 16th, 2001 in Edenton, North Carolina. They transferred him to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters the next day, where we were told about his heart. We stayed there for 8 days and then went to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where Spencer had his surgery on the 26th of July. We where at CHOP for 2 weeks. Then it was back to CHKD for 4 days. Then we went home.

Spencer goes to CHKD for his cardio appointments with Dr. Daniel Schnider. Dr. Thomas Spray did his open heart surgery at CHOP. I also have 4 other children (all heart-healthy), Tabatha 19, Bryan 17, Casey 12 and Brianne 9; two grandsons, Taylor 10 months and Kamron 4 months; and a granddaughter Kelsey due the 9th of October.

— Barbara, Spencer's mom, (Columbia, N.C.)
