Aortic Valve and Arch Repair w/ VSD

Nathan Edward
(2005)
Nathan blessed my life on October 26, 2004...after a few complications at birth he was rushed to Children's Hospital for a life-saving open heart surgery to repair his aortic arch and a hole in his heart. Three months later after a routine doctors appointment, we were faced with having surgery again. They went back in and repaired the failing arch and also repaired Nathan's valve.

During his second surgery his left vocal cord was paralyzed. So far he has been pretty healthy, His hole is still not repaired completely and he will face future surgeries to repair and eventually replace his aortic valve.

— Tracy, Nathan's Mommy (Wisconsin)
