TOF, Complete Repair

Mason

Mason was born on March 15, 1997 in Fort Worth, Texas, and was diagnosed with TOF at 2 days old. Talk about an overwhelming experience! Mason had his complete repair on August 6, 1997, and has been doing fine, starting Kindergarten this year, playing baseball and wrestling.

Mason will require a future surgery to remove some excess muscle that is causing a little blockage at the opening of the pulmonary artery, and will possibly need another surgery to place a pulmonary valve, and are waiting as long as they can to do that surgery.

Mason is the proud big brother of Caden, who is now 16 months old, and is just a rambunctious active 6 year old!

October 2009 Update

Mason is now 12 years old and in 7th grade.  He has been active in baseball since he was 5 years old and played on his league's all star team and with a select team in 2004-2005.

Mason is being monitored yearly, and currently they are watching an infundibular stenosis which will need to be attended to through surgery in the future.  Otherwise, everything is doing great!

— Audra (Mason's mom), and little brother Caden (Fort Worth, Texas)
