Kinsey Elaine

ccTGA, Pulmonary Stenosis, multiple VSDs, mild tricuspid regurgitation

Kinsey's first Easter!

Kinsey's TGA and first VSD were diagnosed at 23 weeks. We had to deliver her two hours from home, where she would go into immediate open heart surgery. When she was born however, after a 2-1/2 month bout with preterm labor, she was breathing fine and oxygenating herself very well.

During her initial echo, the cardiologist found ventricular inversion, pulmonary stenosis and another VSD. They said this bought her a little time before surgery. A week later we took her in for a visit with her primary cardiologist. He found the mild tricuspid regurgitation and 3 more VSDs: 1-5mm, 1-4mm and the rest were smaller. He said he'd put off any surgeries until she was about a year old.

We went back a month later for her next echo and the two larger VSDs were gone!! Now Kinsey only has one and we are not planning for any surgeries! Kinsey not on any meds and just a true miracle from God!

— Amanda, Kinsey's Mother (northwest Georgia)
