Corrected Transposition of the Great Vessels

Geoff

MaCoy, Geoff, 22, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away in his sleep on January 2, 2009. He is survived by his partner, Damian Lang, his mother and her husband, Valerie Davis and Keith Smith, his father and his wife, Mike and Annette MaCoy, and his brothers, Sean MaCoy, Nick Pusztai, and stepbrother Stephen Smith. He is also survived by his grandparents, Dick and Shirley MaCoy, of Huntington Beach, CA.,  (Ret.) Col. Rich and Anne Davis, of Huntington Beach, CA., his Uncle Bob and Aunt Deirdre Wanberg, and his cousins Amy and Erica, his Uncle Barry and Aunt Andrea Heavican, and his cousins Ryan, Kendal and Cammy, his Uncle Kyle and Aunt Amanda Davis, and his cousins Nicholas and Kendall, Uncle Colin and Aunt Lupe Davis, and his cousins Lukas, Sofia and Isaac, Uncle Rick and Aunt Debbie MaCoy, and his cousins Kelly and Charlie, his Aunt Robin Williams, and his cousins Brooke, Ashley and Paula.

Geoff was very simply the center of our extended family.  He was a bright, shining light, and we don’t know how we will go on without him.   Geoff was sensitive, charming, stubborn, kind, hard working, loyal, loving, poetic, so smart, and way too young to die.  He had friends far and wide and had no intention of leaving so soon.  His dream was to move to New York and “make it big”.   He loved to surf, ski, dance, travel, sing, loved adventure; he loved his family, people, and words.  Music was his reprieve, and he considered himself “the antithesis of all that is generic.”  He hated small talk and being bored.  He loved documentaries and independent films and always urged everyone to turn off the television.  He was intense, fun, and lived large.  He loved shoes and hats, and his dog Rugger.

Every year we had with Geoff was a gift, and we loved him very much.
